Get the KiddoTurn app
KiddoTurn is in a free beta on iPhone and Android. It isn't in the App Store or Google Play search yet: you join as a tester, and we send you a personal invitation. Install the app on your own phone and on your child's phone.
1. Ask for an invitation
Email us the account each phone uses to install apps:
- iPhone: the Apple Account (Apple ID) email.
- Android: the Google account email signed in to Google Play.
If your child's phone uses a different account from yours, send both. We usually add testers within one working day.
Parent on iPhone and child on Android, or the other way round? That works too — just tell us which phone is which.
2a. Install on iPhone (TestFlight)
- Install TestFlight, Apple's free app for beta testing, from the App Store.
- Open the invitation email from TestFlight on that iPhone and tap View in TestFlight (or enter the redeem code from the email in TestFlight).
- Tap Accept, then Install. KiddoTurn appears on the Home screen like any other app.
- Repeat on your child's iPhone with the invitation for their Apple Account.
Requires iOS 16.4 or later. TestFlight installs updates for you; keep automatic updates on.
2b. Install on Android (Google Play)
- After we confirm that you're added, open the tester link on the phone, signed in with the Google account you sent us.
- Tap Accept invite, then Download it on Google Play, and install KiddoTurn.
- Repeat on your child's phone.
During the beta Google Play may show the app as "com.gynsus.kiddoturn (unreviewed)". That's expected for test versions; updates arrive through Google Play as usual.
3. Set up your family
- On your phone, open KiddoTurn and sign in with Apple, Google or your email. Choose Create family and add your child.
- Tap Add device for your child. On your child's phone, open KiddoTurn, choose This is a child's device and scan the QR code (or type the 6-digit code). Confirm the pairing on your phone.
- On your child's phone, follow the protection set-up: allow Screen Time access on iPhone, or turn on KiddoTurn's accessibility service on Android. Then choose which apps should pause.
- Create a first routine, for example "Morning" with a ready-by time, and use Test protection on the child's phone to check that the apps really pause.
Joining another parent's family? Ask them to send you an invitation from Family → Invite an adult instead of creating your own family. More help is on the Support page, and you can also manage everything from a computer at kiddoturn.com/app.
Tell us what you think
The beta is free. In return we'd love to hear what works and what doesn't: reply to the invitation email, write to hello@kiddoturn.com, or use Send Beta Feedback in TestFlight. Please don't include your child's full name or other personal details.
