Terms of Use
These terms apply when you use KiddoTurn: the iOS and Android app and the parent web app at kiddoturn.com/app. By creating an account or pairing a child's phone, you agree to them. Please read them together with the Privacy Policy.
Who can use KiddoTurn
- Parent and caregiver accounts are for adults. You must be old enough to agree to these terms where you live.
- You may set up KiddoTurn on a child's phone only if you are that child's parent or legal guardian, or act with their permission.
- Invite only adults you trust to your family. Owners and parents can see and manage the family's children; caregivers can manage only the tasks they create.
What KiddoTurn does — and its limits
KiddoTurn pauses apps a parent chooses on the child's phone while required tasks are not done, using the screen-time features of iOS (Family Controls) and an Android accessibility service. It is a tool to support family routines, not a security product:
- It depends on permissions the phone's operating system grants. A child or anyone with access to the phone may be able to turn them off, change system settings or reinstall apps. When KiddoTurn notices protection was lost, it alerts the family's parents, but it cannot always prevent it.
- Phone calls, messages, emergency features and KiddoTurn itself are never paused.
- It does not filter web content, monitor communications, or track location.
- Schedules already on the phone keep working offline; changes reach the phone when it is next online.
You remain responsible for supervising your child and for how you use KiddoTurn in your family.
Your account
- Keep your sign-in method secure; you are responsible for activity in your account.
- You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Delete account. If you are the only adult of a family, the family is deleted with its data; see the Privacy Policy.
- We may suspend or close accounts used to break these terms or the law, or to harm others or the service.
Acceptable use
Do not use KiddoTurn to monitor or restrict anyone without the right to do so, to harass anyone, to interfere with the service or other families' data, or to reverse-engineer or overload it, except as the law allows.
Price and changes
KiddoTurn is currently free. If we introduce paid features, we will tell you in advance and you will not be charged without agreeing. We may change or discontinue features; if we stop the service, we will give reasonable notice where possible so you can export or delete your data.
Content and ownership
The routines, tasks and other content you create stay yours; you allow us to store and process them only to run KiddoTurn for your family. The app, website and brand belong to the operator of KiddoTurn.
Third-party platforms
You download KiddoTurn from the App Store or Google Play and may sign in with Apple or Google. Their own terms also apply to those services. Apple and Google are not responsible for KiddoTurn or its support.
Disclaimer and liability
KiddoTurn is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will always pause apps, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from its use. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer under the mandatory laws of the country where you live.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, we will update the date above, and for significant changes we will let you know in the app before they apply. Continuing to use KiddoTurn after that means you accept the updated terms.
